Leader of Dedede's royal guard. Originally traveled to Popstar in search of anti-Dark Matter weapons (and a peaceful retirement spot), and used his experience as a high-ranked soldier to win Dedede over; with so little competition, he never questioned his credentials. While perceived as disciplined and wise, he's more like an average lazy person bearing heavy responsibilities. He doesn't have the energy to be so strict anymore... which gets him in trouble with the Star Warriors he's still supposed to be writing to.

He's paranoid about anything related to Dark Matter. He sparks the Revenge of Meta Knight and Meta Knightmare Ultra subplots in response to DM trilogy events. Much of his anger is taken out on Gooey and later Kirby (post-Star Allies).

Hundreds of years ago: Was a low rank Star Warrior tasked with locating anti-Dark Matter artifacts until the Galaxia sword chose him as its wielder. He butted heads directly with Nightmare and his NME beasts, and later Dark Matter, which successfully infiltrated and wiped out much of their army.

Notes

• Some of his Meta-Knights are also former Star Warriors. However, only Meta reports to his superiors. They're all considered part of the royal guard anyway.
• He was an average student and found history the most boring. He only found reading fun later in life.
